(partially funded publicly) Wheel chair and ambulatory transportation in Pinellas County, for people with permanent or temporary disabilities who are unable to independently use the regular, wheelchair accessible PSTA buses. Provides W/C, Medi-Chair and Stretcher transport for handicapped individuals. Care Ride is a private company affiliated with Bay Care and is a DART PSTA W/C Transport Provider as well as Medicaid and Evercare Provider. Available 7 days a week. Picks up from Pinellas County, Florida only but will transport anywhere within the State of Florida. (updated 10/3/08 )
To qualify for DART benefits, an application through DART must be completed in advance. For a DART application, call (727) 540-1800 (select option #2 for Demand Response Transportation).
Provides W/C, Medi-Chair, and Stretcher transport. Medi-Chair transportation is a more cost-effective alternative to non-emergency ambulance transportation. This mode of transportation is suitable for people who are medically stable and can transport comfortably at a sitting angle no lower than 30 degrees. Each Medi-Chair transport is equipped with specialized equipment and is staffed by a state certified emergency medical technician (EMT).

A Pinellas County Medicaid and Transportation Disadvantaged Program Provider servicing the Medicaid and Transportation Disadvantaged program in Pinellas County. EMT specializes in Non-emergency transportation to and from doctors, dialysis, dentist etc.Will assisting children with transportation needs to school, etc.
Services are available for anyone in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties.

Rent-A-Ride of Pinellas County will transport you to the mall, doctors, school, shopping, airports, downtown St. Petersburg, Clearwater, or just about anywhere else you need to go.
